Deep tissue is one of the most requested massages because of its benefits and though you may feel sore afterwards it is very good for breaking down scar tissue and muscle tension/stiffness. Deep tissue is still swedish based massage but after warming up the tissue I go in with deeper pressure to focus on dissipating trigger points/loosening knots, this deep pressure is done with several different techniques the most common being the elbow and the thumbs. Deep tissue is mostly used for chronic pain and muscle tension, it is so beneficial for many different conditions such as sciatica, fibromyalgia, and even could lower blood pressure after the fascia stuck together is able to regain the normal blood flow, in many cases people will notice their posture is better after deep tissue. Deep tissue is not for everyone because of the overall deep pressure of the massage but it is my personal favorite and I highly recommend it! A deep tissue massage is $130 for a 50 minute and $190 for a 80 minute.
